IGCSE Biology: Cells, Life Processes and Inheritance
Cambridge IGCSE Biology 0610, Core and Extended: cells, movement in and out of cells, photosynthesis, respiration and inheritance
6 lessons
Learn the biology that the rest of the course builds on. You will compare animal and plant cells, calculate magnification, explain diffusion, osmosis and active transport, write the equations for photosynthesis and respiration, and predict the results of genetic crosses. Biology terms are marked with the care an examiner takes: small spelling slips are accepted, but a different term (mitosis for meiosis) never is.
What you will be able to do
- Identify cell structures and their functions, and calculate magnification
- Explain diffusion, osmosis and active transport
- Write and use the equations for photosynthesis and respiration, and interpret limiting-factor graphs
- Use genetic diagrams to predict ratios and probabilities in monohybrid crosses
